Series 130 - Special Edition Gropius Door Handle

For the 130th birthday of Walter Gropius, we have produced an unequaled, unique special series. Our mold makers have taken a lead model from a historical original piece.

This "mother" creates traditional sand casting molds into which the highest quality brass is poured by hand. Then, in dozens of individual steps, the raw parts are manually processed and finished. In this way, every single Gropius lever handle from the 130 series becomes an individual manufactured product with a captivating look and the finest feel - in honor of its creator.

Walter Gropius, born in 1883, is one of the most important and well-known Bauhaus designers. Gropius studied architecture at the beginning of the 20th century and joined Peter Behrens' design office in 1907, along with Mies van der Rohe and Corbusier. As a freelance architect and industrial designer, Walter Gropius later designed the Gropius handle that is so well known today, which was first used by S.A. in 1923. Loevy went into production.

Due to the complex production process, these unusual door fittings can only be ordered in quantities of 50 or more.
