Art Déco 1930

This Art Deco door handle originates from the original range of the company WEHA, which later became known as Wehag. The design was first listed in 1928 under model number 988. The designer of the piece is unknown; it is an anonymous factory design. The design of the door handle does not reflect the typical Bauhaus functionality but rather follows early Art Deco forms influenced by Cubism. The shifted surfaces give the compact handle a light and elegant appearance. This piece represents the combination of functionality and aesthetic design from the early 20th century.
